Welcome
The success of our country depends on the future of our students. We must guide them through challenges of this generation. This largely depends upon their success in school. Attendance teachers carry an enormous responsibility; the students we serve are repeatedly the ones who struggle in school. We must interact with these students, their families and schools to insure that we develop their maximum potential.
We know first hand that dropout prevention begins in pre-school. We also know that poor attendance is indicative of other problems. Early effective intervention is the key to address our dropout epidemic. The New York State Attendance Teachers Association is open to administrators, guidance counselors, psychologists, social workers and pupil service professionals who are interested in improving school attendance.
At our annual conference we will seek to network in order to examine our concerns and discuss attendance issues.
Please join us at the 63rd New York State Attendance Teachers Conference.
